Mini Sessions

Every fall, Aspen and Sage Photography offers a limited number of Boise fall mini sessions for families looking to update their annual family photos. These fall family mini sessions take place on select dates at beautiful outdoor locations throughout the Treasure Valley, including Boise, Meridian, Eagle, Nampa, and the surrounding areas.

As the name suggests, mini sessions are shorter than our full family sessions, making them a convenient and affordable option for busy families. By photographing several families back-to-back on the same day, we're able to offer professional fall family photography at a lower price point than a full session.

Our Boise fall mini sessions are perfect if you're looking for updated family portraits for holiday cards, wall art, gifts, or simply to capture this season of life. Each session includes 15 professionally edited digital images, with the option to purchase additional images or the full gallery if you fall in love with more than your favorites.

FAQ

Q: Is there a deposit required?

A: Yes, for mini sessions 50% is due at booking to reserve your spot. After you select a timeslot and submit the inquiry, I will review your request and send the contract and invoice (typically within 24-48 hours). The deposit is due within 24 hrs of receipt or I may offer your spot to another inquiry. The deposit is non-refundable if you cancel the session, but it can be applied to a future full or mini session within 90 days depending on session availability.

Q: What happens if it rains or there is poor weather?

A: For mini sessions, I typically set a designated date ahead of time that we will move the session to in the case of poor weather. In the case where the mini session is on private property, I will have to work with the property owner for a reschedule date if needed. If you are unavailable on the reschedule date, you will have the option to apply your deposit to a full session on the date and location of your choice or another mini session on a different day as I have availability.

Q: What type of session can I do during the mini session?

A: Mini sessions can be for family, maternity, senior portraits, milestone sessions and couple photos. The only session that doesn’t work well as a mini session is newborn photos or photos with a baby younger than 2 months old as we aren’t able to have the flexibility to work around baby’s schedule and needs.

Q: Is there any time you wouldn’t recommend a mini session?

A: If you have a child who takes a little longer to warm up to new people, or needs a little extra encouragement for photos, I would recommend booking a full session to have the flexibility and time needed to have the most success with the session.
