Books

These books I have read and have helped me immensely in my business

The E-myth Revisited

I read this book over ten years ago (gulp…in college) and the topics and principles it covers are still things I think about regularly in my business. Most notable is the idea that there are three main personalities in business: the technician, the manager, and the visionary and that there is a difference between working in your business and working on your business.

Create Anyway

I loved this book for the author’s understanding and discussion of the unique aspects of being both a mother and a creative. It left me inspired, encouraged and with a fresh perspective to press forward in these two areas of life that God has blessed me with.

The Unplugged Hours

Since smartphones and social media have gripped our culture and world, so many of us are searching for ways to be smart and healthy with our smartphone use. The Unplugged Hours was a great book to help me start thinking critically about my phone use and some ideas for how to take time in my days to spend “unplugged” so that I am ensuring I don’t miss the things that are most important to me.

Habits of the Household

Loved this book for it’s practical and meaningful advice on how to everyday habits into something meaningful for ourselves and our kids.
