Welcoming a third baby | Meridian, ID in Home Newborn session
This sweet in-home newborn session was full of quiet moments, sibling snuggles (and excitement), and so much love as this family welcomed their third baby—a beautiful little girl.
You Don't Need a Perfect Nursery for Beautiful Newborn Photos
One thing I especially loved about this session was that this family didn't have a dedicated nursery—and honestly, they didn't need one.
Instead, they thoughtfully created a cozy little corner for their daughter right in the master bedroom. A comfortable rocking chair, a simple clothing rack with her tiny outfits, woven wall baskets, and a few carefully chosen decorations transformed one corner into a space that was completely hers. It was sweet, simple, and beautiful.
I think so many new parents feel pressure to have a nursery perfectly finished before baby arrives. But your newborn doesn't care whether they have a magazine-worthy nursery—they care about being close to you. Those first few weeks are often spent cuddled in your arms, sleeping beside your bed, and soaking in every ounce of love from their family.
Your Home Tells Your Story
One of the biggest misconceptions I hear is, "My house isn't photo-ready."
The truth is, your home doesn't need to be large, perfectly decorated, or even spotless. We typically use just one or two rooms with the best natural light, and I'll help guide you every step of the way. Sometimes all we need is a made bed, a bright window, and the people you love most.
Whether you have a beautifully designed nursery or a thoughtfully arranged corner in your bedroom, your home is part of your family's story. Years from now, these photographs won't just remind you of how tiny your baby was—they'll remind you of how those first precious days were spent.
If you're expecting a little one and looking for a Boise, Meridian or Eagle lifestyle newborn photographer, I'd love to help you document this fleeting season in the comfort of your own home. The beauty of in-home newborn photography isn't about perfection—it's about preserving the love, connection, and little details that make your family's story uniquely yours.
