A Storybook Family Session
One thing I love is finding unique locations for families to have their photoshoot, and a private venue offers the added bonus of privacy and freedom to explore without a timeline. On Collin’s Pond in Middleton, Idaho, offers just that—a peaceful, picture-perfect setting that feels like stepping into a storybook.
For this session, I had the joy of capturing a sweet family of four—Mom, Dad, and their two lively boys—on this stunning property. With its serene pond, weeping willows, rustic greenhouse, and wide open grassy spaces, On Collin’s Pond gave us the perfect backdrop for laughter, connection, and play.
From the very first click of my camera, the boys were all smiles and silliness, running freely, chasing each other, and climbing into their parents' arms for tickles and hugs. It’s always my goal to create space for families to just be themselves, and this session was full of those real, candid moments I love most.
We wandered through the property, letting the boys explore while I gently guided the family into natural interactions. Mom and Dad shared a few quiet moments in the greenhouse while the boys watered plants, then we explored the pond that was full of Koi.
What I especially loved about this location is how it feels both grand and intimate. The elegant charm of the wedding venue added a timeless touch, while the lush greenery and peaceful surroundings kept the focus on the genuine connection this family shares.
