Hey! I’m Natalie, the owner of Aspen and Sage Photography. It all started when I was ten years old and my dad converted our family laundry room into a dark room for developing black & white film. In addition to taking our own photographs around the yard, we dug out some old negatives of my mom and her five siblings and spent the summer evenings cramped in that little laundry room making the images come to life.
Although many years have passed since my time spent in pitch black, enlarging negatives on top of the washing machine, it is clear to me that this is when it all started. This is when I fell in love with photography and began to see photography as a precious way to capture memories and look back in nostalgia of times past.
I have found that photography is the perfect home based business that allows me to be a stay at home mom and still make money
There’s nothing that compares to those first days at home with your new baby—the quiet moments, the cozy snuggles, and the overwhelming love that fills every corner of the house. I had the absolute joy of stepping into this beautiful season with a sweet family.
There’s something incredibly magical about springtime—when the air softens, the days stretch a little longer, and nature begins to show off with bursts of color. One location that radiates the beauty of springtime is Cherryhill Farms in Caldwell, ID where the peach orchard bursts with soft pink blossoms.
There’s something so tender about a maternity session spent at home—where the laughter echoes a little louder, the cuddles feel a little cozier, and the love that’s already growing seems to fill every room.
There’s something so special about capturing the first days of a newborn’s life in the warmth of home. Recently, I had the honor of photographing baby Tatum’s in-home newborn photography session.
Senior year is such a special time, and capturing this milestone with a senior portrait session is something every high school senior deserves! Recently, I had the joy of photographing Amelia at a breathtaking location near Lake Lowell, where the golden grass sprinkled with sunflowers created the most stunning backdrop.
Managing large groups of people (including kids) for a photo, has it’s own challenges. Here are some tips to make your extended family session a success.
I first met this sweet family for their fresh 48 photos in the hospital, just after baby William was born. For their newborn session, I got to photograph them in their beautiful early 1900s home in a historic part of downtown Boise.
